vZJX Training Departure- S1 Practical Test Evaluation Standards

4 Possesses basic airport information for positioning S1 Training/Class Charlie Operations- KJAX

(and explains relationship), identified cloud types and when a ceiling is present and common local visibility obscuring phenomena such as rain, mist fog, etc.

Identifies RVSM rules/airspace and its application on VATSIM as all aircraft are RVSM capable. Identifies, compares and contrast at minimal the differences between VOR and Area Navigation, and ensures flight plans are in compliance with restrictions regarding navigation type by identifying /A, /G, and /L Identifies four types of departure procedures and defines pilot nav, radar nav, and hybrid departures as they are applicable to local airspace.

Use of this checklist is mandatory for all Controller Exams (Promotion and Re-Qualification) .  All 23 items must be covered during the evaluation by either observing the student for each item, or via oral question.  Students must pass 90% of all the items listed, with no Critical Task Failures. Regardless of pass/fail status, ALL failed items will be reviewed with the student by the INS/MEN to ensure comprehension.
